Texas speaker and trainer, Linda Swindling has spoken for audiences of 10 to a 1,000. Through her work with the world’s largest CEO development organization, Linda has more than 2,000 hours advising and mentoring CEOs both in one-to-one settings and in groups. She has gained a deep understanding about what is important to decision makers, how they respond and when they don’t.

Linda started her professional career as an employment attorney in the downtown Dallas law firm of Geary, Glast and Middleton. She later became a partner in the Carrollton, Texas law firm of Withrow, Fiscus and Swindling where she practiced corporate, insurance and employment law. After becoming a mediator, she received training from the University of Houston A. A. White’s Institute for Dispute Resolution and MIT’s and Harvard’s Program on Negotiation. When her first book, The Consultant’s Legal Guide was published, Linda left the practice of law. The creator of the popular Passports to Success book series, Linda has authored or co-authored 18 books including Negotiate Like a CEO, Get What You Want and Impact Negotiation.

The mother of two, Linda has been married more than 20 years. Her diverse background includes work in the hospitality, retail and association industries. A Broadcast Journalism major, she worked briefly for the Lubbock ABC-affiliate, KMAC-TV, the local radio station, KTXT, and made local commercials. Prior to attending college at Texas Tech and attending Texas Tech School of Law, Linda danced professionally with a Dallas dance company and spent time in New York City studying dance and acting. She is called “one of the country’s top experts on communications” by the Network for Executive Women and a “bargaining expert” by American Way magazine. Linda was most recently seen as the Workplace Wisdom expert on Mornings with Lorri & Larry, a television and radio show reaching approximately 40 million households.
