Moon, who helped pave the way for future African-American quarterbacks, experienced success at every stop in his career. He is the only player ever to be enshrined by both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Canadian Football Hall of Fame. Moon was also the first, and currently only, African-American quarterback elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Off the field, Warren has contributed to several charitable organizations. In 1989 he created the Crescent Moon Foundation, which helped those in need in the city of Houston, and provided college scholarships to those who couldn’t afford tuition. Among his many accomplishments, Warren is most proud of being honored as NFL Man of the Year for his charitable work with the Crescent Moon Foundation.
